Canava Cafe presents Eat to Live to BE FREE! Women's Retreat at Sassafras Ridge Mountains of Tennessee September 26th-28th, 2008 Come Learn How To Nurture Yourself & Eat To Live to BE FREE!
Harriet Tubman would have freed a 1000 more slaves, if they only knew they were slaves. Canava Cafe retreats and workshops offer a serene, quiet, and supportive space where women can take a time-out from their daily lives to escape. Taking time to reflect, relax and to create a life of purpose, excellent health and a future deep with love, passion and joy. Sassafras Ridge Mountains lies in the Blue Ridge (a segment of the Appalachian Mountains) on the North Carolina border. Sassafras Ridge is a unique community nestled between two National Forests and situated atop the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains of Southeastern Tennessee. Watching silver-pink sunrises and mauve-purple sunsets are the favorite pastimes of the day. Sassafras Ridge provides an escape to an area of natural beauty and solitude. It is the place to go to experience the outdoors– whether you’re interested in hiking, nature walks, horseback riding, picnicking, fishing, whitewater rafting, canoeing, birdwatching, or photography.
It is the place to go if you want to take time to smell the roses, or discover the rhododendron and delicate wildflowers that open up thoughts of unexplored potential and dreams unrealized. Our women's retreats, workshops, and outdoor adventures are led by experienced facilitators, all well-respected women in their fields, and they implement time for quiet reflection, journaling, personal growth, laughter and time for what women do best . . . sharing their lives and stories with other women.
