With a car packed with her freshly prepared dishes, she personally delivered lunches to local businesses, from hair salons to spas. Monique wasn’t just a chef; she was the heart and soul of her venture, playing the role of both the cook and the delivery service.
As word spread about her delectable vegan creations, Monique’s clientele expanded. Soon, she was catering for grand weddings, lively parties, and even some of the city’s renowned singers and rap artists. The dream of taking her food to the streets of Atlanta began to take shape in her mind. In 2010, with hopes high and a vision clear, Monique launched a Crowd Fund campaign for the “Love Burger Express Food Truck.” But sometimes, dreams take detours. Despite her best efforts, she couldn’t reach her financial goal.
For a while, Monique stepped away from her culinary dream. Doubt crept in, and she decided to hang up her apron in 2013. But the fire of passion, once ignited, is hard to extinguish. Six years later, with renewed vigor and a deeper understanding of her mission, Monique returned to the culinary world.
